Prerequisite
Salesforce
- Salesforce Core (a.k.a Sales Cloud):
- **Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot)**:
- A standalone app acquired by Salesforce, which is now tightly integrated into Salesforce but still functions independently
- It’s a marketing automation platform - essentially the Salesforce version of HubSpot
- Example
- Without Pardot: submitting a form will create a lead and nothing else
- With Pardot: submitting a form will create a prospect, generate a score, include web analytics, etc… and this will need to be synced to the Sales Cloud as a lead
- Salesforce Org:
- An instance of Salesforce - essentially just a company’s Salesforce account
- Experience Cloud (formerly Community Cloud formerly Something Cloud Related):
- Salesforce’s website builder - allows you to build fully functional websites, portals, and communities
- Lightning Components - a set of web components for Experience Cloud
- Smaller Framer enterprise users may use only Sales Cloud, whilst larger users will likely use both Sales Cloud and Pardot - so it’s important this plugin supports features from both Sales Cloud and Pardot
- Seems like a lot of customers use Salesforce due to Pardot alone
Note
- Content personalization - customizing site content based on visitor data
- Notable sites using this feature: L’Oréal, Philips, Amtrack, United Airlines and more
- Would have been a nice feature to implement however, like HubSpot, this would require an access token
- Analytics
- We do not show analytics from Sales Cloud or Pardot in the plugin, as users typically have their own established data pipelines for this information
Requests
- Pardot tracking
- Ability to lock content - e.g. enter email to download a file
- Embed salesforce forms on the page
- Automate object creation or updates in Pardot
- Push data from Framer forms to Salesforce via a webhook (capture lead data)
